Be Still in the Darkness

Be Still in the Darkness!

During periods of intense stress, our souls cry out “where are You Lord”. It is during such times that our prayers seem to reverberate against an invisible brick wall. Darkness appears to be winning, and light is no where to be found.

Yet, we can rest assured that even during dark times, The Lord is still at work in our lives. In fact, the Bible tells us in Psalms 18, (11) that The Lord makes the darkness His secret place. Thats a place where the atmosphere is intricately intimate, woven with truth that is difficult to perceive. It’s a place where only the still heart hears.

If only we would allow our hearts to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).
Perhaps we would see the light much sooner.

So, be still, be quiet in the darkness and listen closely praying that The Lord will reveal the secrets that He’s working out in you and for you. Be still knowing that God is working all things together for your good because He is good. Be still in the darkness and know that the darkness is a temporary place. For surely, in just a matter of time, The Lord will enlighten your darkness (llSamuel 22:29, Psalms 18:28)!
